Issue with Outlook:

 

If you upgraded from 10.0 to 10.1, you may run into an issue with Outlook indicating the following error:

 

 

 

This appears to be caused by the upgrade not updating the ‘add-in’ list in Outlook.

 

It appears in 10.0, SAV used the vpmsece3.dll as an add-in to provide a hook for the SAV software to check outgoing and incoming e-mail. In version 10.1, they are now using a different program. Unfortunately, the upgrade to version 10.1 did not remove the old add-in.

 

To correct this, start-up outlook and go to ‘Tools/Options:

 

 

Select ‘Other:

 

 

Select ‘Advanced Options:

 

 

Go to ‘Add-In Manager’

 

 

De select ‘Symantec Antivirus’ (not Symantec Antivirus 10.1)
